What is the PADI Master Scuba Diver
By becoming a PADI master scuba diver you will earn the highest no professional rating offered to recreational divers by PADI. You will be a well respected diver in the industry. In some cases other less experienced recreational divers will look towards you for knowledge and advise on different diving situations.
What does the Master Scuba Diver application process consist of?
In order to be able to make an application to PADI for the master scuba diver rating you must have the following qualifications either from PADI or another recognised training organisation
PADI Advanced Open Water
PADI Rescue Diver
PADI Emergency first response or equivalent first aid course with in the last 24 months
To of certified in 5 PADI specialities.
Popular choices for the specialities include, deep diver, wreck diver, night diver, enriched air nitrox, digital underwater photography, and underwater navigator.
Upon completion of your 5th PADI speciality course the certifying instructor for that course can submit an application to PADI for the diver to become a Master scuba diver.
How do I become a PADI Master scuba diver?
Any diver who holds all the above prerequisites can make an application to PADI for their master scuba diver rating. The master scuba diver is also available to junior divers however we recommend waiting until at least the age of 15 as some of the specialities have age limits.
